ASCAP Composer Career Workshop Flyer

Responding to the need for 21st century composers to embrace an entrepreneurial approach to their careers, in 2009 Alex joined forces with composers Stephen Paulus and Jennifer Higdon, and attorney and EAM/Schott Music president Jim Kendrick, to co-found a U.S. touring series of music business seminars titled The ASCAP Composer Career Workshops.

With the full funding support of ASCAP, these four-hour workshops give attendees a very close look at publishing, copyright, web presence, recording, and many other skills necessary in the 21st century music world, to help composers at all stages of their careers.

Above is one of the presentation posters. Twelve workshops have been presented around the U.S., at the venues listed below.

If your school or organization is interested in scheduling a workshop, either in person or via a custom webinar, please email Alex.
